A Day in Aalesund

The ship traveled all night and we arrived in Aalesund at 8 this morning. We had a quick breakfast and were off to explore the town. The ship was leaving at 12 so our time was limited. We had not signed up for the ship's offered excursion but chose to sightsee on our own. This presents some problems with our group of friends (since the "leader" apparently lacks a good sense of direction) and I think John and I have learned that the organized excursions might be a better bet for us.

In any event this is what we saw:
